SUMMARY:School of Hope Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Special Olympics is a world sports program for people with disabilities. A variety of competitive sporting opportunities are available in Sandusky County for children who are at least eight years old and receiving individualized Educational Services (IEP) in school and adults with disabilities. Sports are offered based on the level of interest\, but typically Sandusky County has offered basketball\, volleyball\, softball\, soccer\, bowling\, bocce ball\, and equestrian. There have also been swimming\, track\, and weightlifting offered in years past. Athletes have the opportunity to compete in competitions in our area with other teams and many have the opportunity to travel to larger competitions in Ohio or even out of state!
