Early Childhood

Birth–Age 3

Early Intervention services support infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, right in your home and community.

Youth Services

Ages 3-21

SCBDD’s School of Hope provides individualized education and therapies for students with developmental disabilities.

Adults

Age 22+

Our team helps adults with developmental disabilities build the life they want — through community connections, employment support, self-advocacy, and ongoing service coordination. SSA services help families plan, navigate, and connect.

We Serve for a Lifetime

Since 1964, SCBDD has walked alongside individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Sandusky County. Whether you’ve just received a diagnosis, are navigating services for a school-age child, or are planning for adult life, we’re here to help you find the right path.

We provide direct services through our Early Intervention and School of Hope programs. We help adults and families connect to community resources, providers, and personalized support through our Service and Support Administration team.

For more than 60 years, SCBDD has been a trusted community resource for individuals with developmental disabilities and the families, caregivers, and providers who support them. We are a county board established under Ohio law, governed by an appointed board of community members, and funded through local levies and state and federal resources.
